Meet Our School Counselor, Jazmin Virgile

Arbor Springs Elementary is proud to welcome Jazmin Virgil as our School Counselor. A Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Ms. Virgil brings more than four years of experience providing school-based mental health services and is passionate about helping students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Originally from El Paso, Texas, Ms. Virgil now calls Newnan home, where she lives with her husband and their two children, Laila and Elias. She earned her Bachelor's degree in African & African Diaspora Studies from Morehouse College and her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Rehabilitation Counseling from West Virginia University.

Ms. Virgil believes that every child deserves to feel welcomed, valued, and supported. She uses a relationship-centered, trauma-informed approach to counseling and incorporates evidence-based practices to help students build confidence, resilience, and healthy coping skills. She is committed to partnering with families, teachers, and staff to create a positive school environment where every student can learn, grow, and succeed.

Outside of school, Ms. Virgil enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, trying new restaurants, listening to live music, staying active, and, of course, enjoying a great cup of coffee. She looks forward to building meaningful relationships with our Gator families and supporting the Arbor Springs community throughout the school year.
